Judge David W. McKeague is a staunch supporter of the State Bar of Michigan, as evidenced by his seat on the State Bar Standing Committee on United States Courts, which is charged with the duty of maintaining the State Bar's relationship with the federal courts.  He is known to ignore facts and law when it comes to Michigan Bar Association issues, as evidenced by his decision in Rittenhouse v. Delta Home Improvement, Inc., 255 B.R. 294, 2000 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 17384 (W.D. Mich. 2004).  Judge McKeague's decision supporting the State Bar was reversed by the Sixth Circuit in Rittenhouse v. Delta Home Improvement (in Re Desilets), 291 F.3d 925 (6th Cir. 2002).  You can read the full text of the opinion by clicking here.

StateBarWatch honors Federal Bankruptcy Attorney Allan J. Rittenhouse for his hard work in getting Judge David McKeague's erroneous decision reversed.
