RECENT NEWS:

These are hard economic times.  Did you know that the State Bar has admitted in court papers that it spent a quarter of a million dollars to keep StateBarWatch founder Frank Lawrence out of the Bar just between 2003 and 2006? Click to read the proof.

The State Bar has refused to publicly disclose the costs of the most recent litigation (since 2006), which are estimated to be well over the half million dollar mark by now. StateBarWatch is beginning its 2010 public campaign to educate all Michigan attorneys about how the licensing officials have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on their "experiment" to test First Amendment issues in bar admission cases - all at the cost of the dues paying members.

Judge Gerald Rosen Decides Against the State Bar - The State Bar of Michigan's attempt to recoup the first $237,000.00 that it spent fighting StateBarWatch founder Frank Lawrence's request for a law license has failed miserably.  The dues-paying members of the Michigan Bar are responsible for the tab.

New News - December 2, 2009 - All StateBarWatch operations are being conducted by Thomas Lawrence, who has today been named President of StateBarWatch.  Please note that former President Frank Lawrence has resigned effective immediately.  His only connection with StateBarWatch will be the retention of his "statebarwatch.org" e-mail address.

OTHER RECENT NEWS - StateBarWatch has learned that Gerald Marcinkoski (a member of the Michigan Board of Law Examiners) was accused of lying to the Michigan Court of Appeals in a workers' compensation case on Wal-Mart's behalf.  Click here for more.
